Refund & cancellation policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Our approach
Donations are voluntary and go straight into charitable work, so once received they are generally not refundable. We do, however, refund genuine mistakes, as set out below.
When we refund
- You paid the same donation twice.
- You paid a wrong amount, for example by typing an extra zero.
- You paid by mistake, or the money left your account but your donation details were not recorded and you would rather not donate.
How to request a refund
Write to anubhav@sanjeevmangla.org within 15 days of the payment, from the email or mobile number you used in the donation form if possible. Please include your name, the date, the amount, the 12-digit UPI reference (UTR) and the reason.
What happens next
We check the payment in our bank account within 7 working days. Approved refunds are returned in full, with nothing deducted, to the same UPI or bank account the payment came from, usually within 7–10 working days of approval. If a receipt was already issued, it is cancelled and, for a partial refund, replaced with a corrected one.
Cancelling a donation
You can cancel at any time before paying by simply closing the page; details entered without a payment are not treated as a donation. We do not set up recurring payments or auto-debits, so there is nothing to cancel later.
Failed or pending UPI payments
If money left your account but the UPI payment failed, your bank normally reverses it automatically, as required by RBI rules. Please check with your bank or UPI app first. If the money did reach us, we will refund it under this policy.
